VA Fargo Telehealth
VA Telehealth Services improves convenience to Veterans by providing access to care from their homes or local communities when they need it. Please read below for some of the options available to Veterans in our area.
Home Telehealth
The Home Telehealth program allows Veterans to be monitored remotely (from their home) by a team of nurses and technicians. Veterans will answer symptom-based questions and transmit vital signs such as blood pressure, weight, heart rate, oxygen levels, blood sugar levels, and temperature. The Home Telehealth team will call the Veteran if any of this information is concerning and will work closely with the Veteran’s health care team to develop a plan of care.
Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT)
Fargo Telehealth offers video visits from the Fargo VA and local community-based outreach clinics (CBOC) to providers at another location, known as Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT). A telehealth clinical technician or a telehealth LPN at the site will connect the Veteran to the video appointment with the provider.
The telehealth clinical technician and telehealth LPN can obtain blood pressures, weights, oxygen readings, and temperatures prior to the appointment. They can assist the provider during the video visit with a high-definition camera and stethoscope for listening to Veteran’s heart and lung sounds.
Fargo VA and CBOCs also offer video visit to Veterans off-site through VA Video Connect. These appointments are video visits that Veterans can complete at home, work or other convenient location.
