Why VA Houston: The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is part of the largest medical city in the world, which plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and facilitating the growth of many medical learners. After having firsthand rotational experiences of the VA pharmacist’s role in mental health for primary care, it was an easy choice for me to make.

The opportunity for pharmacists to practice at the top of their license and to serve the veteran population make the VA a unique place to foster my development to becoming a clinical pharmacist.
