As we approach National Vietnam War Veterans Day on March 29th, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the tremendous courage and sacrifice of the men and women who served during the Vietnam War.

We owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to the more than 2.7 million Americans who bravely answered the call of duty during this difficult time in our nation's history.

As President Biden recently stated, "Our Vietnam Veterans served with honor, courage, and distinction, often under the most challenging and dangerous circumstances imaginable." Despite facing significant challenges both on and off the battlefield, these Veterans demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our country and its ideals. It is essential that we take the time to recognize and honor their service, sacrifice, and contributions to our great nation.

On this important day, I join with the White House and VA Secretary in expressing my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all Vietnam Veterans, and to their families and loved ones. Please take time today to thank those Veterans for their service, and may we never forget their bravery and sacrifice.
