VA Loma Linda transitions travel pay reimbursement to direct deposit

Loma Linda , CA — LOMA LINDA, Calif. — VA Loma Linda officials announce important changes within the beneficiary travel program in response to the end of the public health emergency.
Effective Friday, May 26, Veterans will receive travel pay through direct deposit. VA Loma Linda will end paper check disbursements in accordance with VA policy.
Travel pay recipients not currently enrolled in the direct deposit program should complete and return VA Form 10091 to the cashier’s office at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Hospital as soon as possible to avoid delays in payment.
Eligible Veterans and caregivers can also elect to receive payments through a Direct Express Card.
As of June 9, VA will resume adhering to pre-COVID times lines for filing beneficiary travel claims. Effective June 9, beneficiary travel claims and appeals are required to be submitted within 30 days of the Veteran’s VA medical appointment.
How to Sign up for Direct Deposit
To avoid delays and receive future VA Travel Pay Reimbursements via direct deposit, eligible veterans must be categorized as a VA Vendor by carefully reviewing instructions and completing VA-FSC Vendor File Request Form (VA Form 10091).
1. Complete and sign enclosed VA Form 10091. Unsigned forms cannot be processed. Fillable VA Form 10091 can also be completed online at https://www.va.gov/vaforms/va/pdf/VA10091.pdf
2. Return VA Form 10091
a. in person to VA Loma Linda Healthcare System’s Agent Cashier Office located at Room 1A-76A (across from the Inpatient Pharmacy Clinic) at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial veterans' Hospital
b. mailed to VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, Attn: Agent Cashier (04C), 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA, 92357
c. sent via the My HealtheVet Secure Messaging System if fillable VA Form 10091 is completed online.
