VA Loma Linda Healthcare System’s women Veteran care team hosted an open house at the Women's Health Center March 31.

More than 50 Veterans, congressional representatives, VA staff, and community members toured the innovative new space and learned about the comprehensive care and support services designated for women Veterans.

“This building is a monumental step in the care for women Veterans at VA,” said Lisa Roybal, VALLHS women Veteran program manager. “It was deemed necessary to create more space for our women Veterans as our population has grown over 30% in the last decade, and we felt it was of the utmost importance to maintain a standalone clinic dedicated just for women Veterans. Our hope is that women Veterans will use this location not only to receive their care, but as a place to connect with other women.”

At the clinic, Veterans receive comprehensive primary care as well as dedicated pharmacy, nutrition, social work, peer support, whole health, and mental health care. Gynecologic services are provided for women Veterans at every stage of life, including well-woman screening visits, a wide range of reproductive healthcare services, and a certified menopause provider.

It’s a safe, welcoming environment where Veterans receive respect, compassion, and exceptional patient experience. The team is knowledgeable, caring, and supportive as they provide consistent care tailored to women’s unique physical and mental health care needs.
