Paul Koons

Paul Koons has worked at Veterans Affairs since 2005 including Polytrauma and Blind Rehabilitation programs in Palo Alto (CA), Richmond (VA) prior to moving to Long Beach in 2014.  Mr. Koons has been Service Chief for Blind Rehabilitation at VA Long Beach Healthcare System since 2015.  He is published in the area of rehabilitation and case studies for TBI and stroke related visual deficits.  Mr. Koons is passionate about enhancing the Veteran experience, CARF accreditation and working with process improvement teams to maximize Patient satisfaction which make VA Long Beach a top provider for medical and rehabilitation programs.   

Mr. Koons earned his bachelor's degree in public administration from Shippensburg University and his master's degree from Salus University in Philadelphia, PA.  He is also a 2011 Leadership Development Institute (LDI) graduate in VISN 6 from McGuire VAMC in Richmond, VA.
