Important Change to Audiocare System

Beginning on January 5, 2022, the VA is implementing a two-factor authentication process.

Many of our Veterans have utilized the Audiocare system to check on appointments and refill prescriptions for many years. Beginning on January 5, 2022, the VA is implementing a two-factor authentication process.  Along with your social security number (SSN), Veterans will now be asked to verify their date of birth.

Veterans connecting will hear the following:

“Please enter your social security number, when you are done please press the pound sign."

Once the SSN has been entered successfully, the system will then prompt:

“To verify that we have the correct patient, please enter the patient’s 8-digit date of birth, followed by the pound sign. The date of birth format needs to be the 2-digit month, 2-digit day, and 4-digit year. For example, if your birthday is January 2, 1965, you must enter: 01 02 1965. Again, please enter the patient’s 8-digit date of birth, followed by the pound sign."

The addition of a two-factor authentication process is just another way that the VA is ensuring the security of your personal information.
