Now Open! The New Presque Isle VA Clinic

The new Presque Isle VA Clinic located at 732 Main Street, Presque Isle Maine 04769 opened on April 29, 2024. This new clinic replaces the former Caribou VA Clinic located at 163 Van Buren Road, Suite 6, Caribou, ME 04736, and will be open Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. 

With more than 8,000 square feet, the new clinic is 50% larger than the former clinic located in Caribou. The new clinic has more Primary Care and Mental Health rooms, providing greater efficiency for staff and improved patient flow. Lab services are conveniently accessible from lobby areas. The new clinic also has two designated Virtual Care rooms and a conference room for Veterans to virtually connect to a variety of specialties and groups. In addition, all exam rooms within the clinic have Virtual Care capabilities.

On April 26, 2024, VA Maine officially dedicated the new clinic in a a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Members of Maine’s congressional delegation and Maine national Guard Brigadier General Diane Dunn provided remarks. The Loring Job Corps Honor Guard and the Presque Isle Middle School Jazz Band both took part in the ceremony.

This clinic will continue the legacy of VA Community Based Care established by the Caribou VA Clinic (The Caribou VA Clinic was the first VA community based outpatient clinic in the nation). A plaque was presented during the ceremony and will be hung at the new clinic in dedication of the Veterans of Aroostook County who petitioned to open VA's first clinic in Caribou.
