Mt Vernon , IL — Marion VA Health Care System to celebrate 100th Birthday of US Army Veteran at the Mt. Vernon Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
On behalf of the Community Engagement and Civic Development team, The Marion VA Health Care System would like to invite you to the Centenarian Celebration of honoring one of our nation’s heroes on his 100th birthday.
We will be honoring a highly decorated Veteran, Mr. Wilbert Vince Rolves, who answered the call of duty during a time our Nation was in need. Mr. Rolves was a soldier in the United States Army during World War II and gave an extraordinary sacrifice of his own freedom as a former Prisoner of War. He was awarded the Silver Star of Valor, Bronze Star of Valor, Two Purple Hearts, Combat Infantry Medal, and a Prisoner of War Medal for his exemplary military service.
