What is the Significance of a Tea Ceremony for VA Veterans and Staff?

The traditional Japanese tea ceremony has been a part of the culture for centuries, and it has recently become a way to honor veterans and staff at the Marion VA Health Care System. By hosting a tea ceremony, the Marion VA is providing an opportunity to celebrate and recognize the service of those who have served in the military.

How This Year's Tea Ceremony is Connecting Veterans and Staff Through Culture

This year's tea ceremony is a unique event that is connecting veterans and staff through culture. It provides an opportunity for veterans to learn about the cultural practices of their new home, while also providing a platform for staff to get to know the veterans better. The cultural exchange events provide a chance for both sides to come together in a safe and comfortable environment, allowing them to share stories, experiences and values. Through these events, we can bridge the gap between veteran and civilian life, creating stronger communities and deeper connections.
