Crisfield American Legion Post 16 Donates $5,000 To Support Veteran Patients Throughout Maryland

Crisfield , MD — The American Legion Post 16 in Crisfield, Md., recently donated $5,000 to the Veterans Affairs (VA) Maryland Health Care System to benefit Veteran patients at the Perry Point VA Medical Center.

The donation will be used to purchase bedside televisions, computers and laptops, diversional recreation activities, transportation, and free coffee for Veteran inpatients and outpatients at the Perry Point VA Medical Centers.

“This donation from the Crisfield American Legion Post 16 will help to support important patient projects and programs that enhance the quality of life for Maryland’s Veterans,” said Jonathan R. Eckman, P.E., director of the VA Maryland Health Care System.  “The generosity of Post 16 is a reminder to our hospitalized Veterans that their service in the armed forces has not been forgotten.”
