Van services for Veterans

DAV vans

Hours: Individual van schedules vary

We work with Disabled American Veterans and county Veterans Affairs directors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments.

Non-DAV van services

Optometry

Our optometrists offer you routine eye exams, preventive vision testing and treatment for conditions like glaucoma. We also provide prescriptions for eyeglasses and other assistive devices.

Optometry Clinic

VA Memphis has two Optometry clinics- one at the Nonconnah CBOC in South Memphis near the International Airport and one in Jackson TN at the outpatient clinic. Optometry provides comprehensive eye care and eyeglasses to our nation’s veterans.  Optometry treats eye diseases, provides eyeglasses, and has a special clinic for low vision care as well.

Services offered are:

  • Eye health exams
  • Treatment and monitoring of eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes
  • Treatment of eye injuries, eye infections
  • Low Vision services
  • Eyeglasses
