Ms. Bulford-Frazier was appointed Associate Director of the Miami VA Healthcare System in 2023.
Prior to this appointment she served as the Assistant Medical Center Director since 2018 and Chief of Nutrition and Food Services both at the Miami VA and as part of an integrated system with the West Palm Beach VAMC.
She was selected for the 2015 “Federal Manager of the Year” Award by the South Florida Federal Executive Board. She is a 2015 VHA Health Care Leadership Development Program graduate, 2014 America College of Healthcare Executive Executive Leadership program graduate, 2012 VISN 8 Competency Development Leadership Program graduate.
She has held detailed positions in VISN 8 and VISN 16 as: Acting Medical Center Associate Director, Acting Medical Center Assistant Director, Patient Safety Health System Specialist and Acting Chief, Environmental Services. She is a certified VHA Mentor at the fellow level, Advisory Board Member for both the Keiser BS and MS Nutrition and Dietetics Programs, an active member of the VISN 8 Patient Centered Care – Veteran Experience Council, Chair of the Miami VA Veteran Experience Committee and serves on the VHA NFS Performance Standard Board for Dietitians.
She currently sits on the South Florida Federal Executive Board’s HR Diversity Council that coordinates the Federal interagency High Performance Leadership Program, The Federal Friends and Family Picnic and the Federal Executive Board QUAD Conference. She is a certified Presidential Fellow Assessor for the Office of Personnel Management and the past Charter President of the local South Florida Young Government Leaders Chapter.
Ms. Bulford-Frazier is a graduate from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, where she obtained her undergraduate and Master’s Degree in Food and Nutrition. She also has a Culinary Degree from the Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago, Illinois.
