Dr. Jeffrey Linfante, DMD, FAGD, has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff of the VA New Jersey Health Care System.

Before this appointment, Dr. Linfante served as Chief of Dental Service at VA NJ. During this time, his focus was on improving access to care and the patient experience for those Veterans eligible for dental services. Dr. Linfante has been very involved with dental education and currently holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He has held several leadership positions, including Director of Admissions and Student Recruitment, serving as a Board member of the New Jersey Academy of General Dentistry from 1998 -2012, and as President from 2009-2010. Dr. Linfante currently serves on several VA committees, Veterans Health Library Steering Committee, and Dental Education Interprofessional Development and Marketing Subcommittee. He earned his dental degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School and completed his General Practice residency training at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.
