Calling all newly licensed Registered Nurses: Enroll in VA New York Harbor’s One-Year Post Baccalaureate Nurse Residency Program! Rapidly develop your skills under the guidance of experienced preceptors and mentors.

“This program helped develop my skills through hands-on practice both on the units and in VA New York Harbor’s Simulation Lab,” Registered Nurse Amanda Candelaria (pictured) said. “I wouldn’t feel nearly as confident in my skills without the great mentors I’ve had in this program.”

This unique program provides RN Residents with a stipend of $67,052 for the 2024-25-year, five-day work weeks on the day shift, 100% protected clinical practice time, with 80% time spent on the units, and 20% dedicated to didactics to train critical thinking and clinical skills. RN Residents will rotate between three facilities—located in the boroughs of Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens respectively—during their residency.

“This program provides an excellent launching point to your professional career, enriches our practice, and ensures the future of our profession,” Dr. Cynthia Caroselli, Associate Healthcare System Director of Patient Services & Chief Nurse Executive said. “I urge everyone to take this challenge and join our program.”
