New Associate Director, Patient Care Services at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System
The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System (NF/SGVHS) announces the appointment of Mrs. Tenna Liston, MSN, RN, as Associate Director, Patient Care Services, NF/SGVHS effective May 22, 2022.
Mrs. Liston has served as Deputy Nurse Executive at the NF/SGVHS since August 2019. Mrs. Liston received her Master’s in Nursing Administration from the University of Florida in December 2000. She has 32 years of nursing experience with 21 of those years within NF/SGVHS.
Prior to her role as the Deputy Nurse Executive, she served 10 years as the Chief Nurse, Operations. Some of the expanded roles during her tenure included serving as acting Chief Nurse Ambulatory Care, Emergency Services, and Behavioral Health. As Associate Director of Patient Care Services, Mrs. Liston is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the largest number of professional employees in NF/SGVHS.
With over 1,400 employees, nurses are responsible for a large portion of our health care delivery and contribute greatly to the quality of care that is provided. In addition to being direct patient care providers, nursing staff are involved in education, research, patient safety, and facility accreditation.
