Congressman Ami Bera brought valentine cards to Veterans
Congressman Ami Bera, M.D., a House Foreign Affairs Committee member, brought beautiful, heartfelt valentine cards handmade by Sutter Middle School students in Folsom to Veterans at VA Northern California Health Care System in Mather, California.
These valentines cards are just one way we can thank Veterans and their families for their sacrifices to defend our country.
The Valentines for Veterans project is part of National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week (February 14th), an initiative by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to recognize and celebrate Veterans. We encourage everyone to take part in this special week and visit hospitalized Veterans or become involved as a volunteer. Let's show our Veterans that we appreciate them!
