Orlando , FL — The Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) will host a Veterans Day Ceremony, on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the amphitheater, located at the back of the Orlando VA Medical Center next to the Community Living Center, in Lake Nona, Orlando FL.
The ceremony is being held to celebrate and honor our nation's service members who proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
“We invite all members of our community to join us in honoring the brave men and women who have served our country,” said Timothy J. Cooke, Director/CEO of the Orlando VA Healthcare System. “This ceremony will serve as an opportunity for us to come together as a community to express our gratitude for their sacrifices and to recognize the important role Veterans play in our society.”
Parking for the event will be made available in the east and west parking garages, and in any available parking spots located in the south parking lot near the emergency room. Attendees are asked to refrain from parking in the Community Living Center and Domiciliary parking lots. In addition, Golf cart shuttles will be operating to assist with transporting attendees to and from the ground floor of both the east and west parking garages.
