The Orlando VA Health Care System (OVAHCS) to Host Open House for the New Daytona Beach VA Clinic

Daytona Beach , FL — The Orlando VA Health Care System (OVAHCS) will hold an open house event for the new Daytona Beach VA Clinic from 3:00PM to 5:00PM on April 25, 2024.

The event will take place onsite at 1776 N. Williamson Blvd., offering an exclusive opportunity for the public to explore the clinic and learn more about the comprehensive care and resources available for Veterans and their families. 

At this grand opening, visitors, Veterans, and their families will have the chance to meet and mingle with the staff members who are committed to serving those who have bravely served our country.Guided tours will be conducted by experienced staff members who will provide insights into the clinic’s newly added and expanded service offerings. Light refreshments and clinic resources will also be available.

Expanded Options for Local Veterans 

In constructing the new facility, OVAHCS is replacing the former, undersized William V. Chappell campus with an expanded clinic that is 128,899 net usable square feet (NUSF) with 750 parking spaces and is more appropriately suited for the local Veteran population. The Daytona Beach VA Clinic will serve more than 21,000 unique Veterans and provide ancillary and specialty services to more than 6,000 additional Veterans from the Deltona CBOC clinic. 

Thoughtfully designed by Oculus Inc., the Daytona Beach VA Clinic consists of 23 departments, including a muti-specialty clinic offering 15 distinct services. Its design fosters a comfortable healing environment intended to benefit both patients and staff with a welcoming, open floor plan, ample natural light, and a calming color palette throughout the facility. The new clinic will also add previously unavailable services including complex PACT, Vascular Lab, Diagnostic Cardiology, Sleep, Gastroenterology, Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Interventional Pain, on site Healthcare for Homeless Veterans (HCHV), as well as float-in providers for ID, Neurology, Vascular, and Gynecology.

In addition, the facility has earned a 2023 Green Globes Building Certification for New Construction: Two Green Globes® Certified by the Green Building Initiative.
