Honolulu , HI — VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS) will host a Suicide Prevention and Awareness Health Fair and Vaccine Event, which is taking place on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the new Daniel K. Akaka VA Clinic at 91-1051 Franklin D. Roosevelt Avenue, Kapolei, HI 96707.
This event is just one of many across the nation to honor Suicide Prevention Month.
“Suicide Prevention is the VA’s number one clinical priority,” said Dr. Adam Robinson, director VAPIHCS. “We provide Veterans with safe, compassionate, and quality care that addresses all the wounds they carry.”
The Suicide Prevention Month information fair will include guest speakers, informational tables, and more. It will also offer an opportunity for Veterans to explore the new clinic, which opened on April 5, 2024. Flu shots will be available, as well as staff from enrollment and eligibility, and from several services who will showcase what is available to Veterans at our new clinic.
We hope to see you at this event to visit with our staff, learn all about our services and programs, and get your flu vaccination. We look forward to seeing you there.
