Associate Director for Patient Care, Chandra Miller is a United States Air Force Veteran. Her husband and three of her six children have also served.
Ms. Miller joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2007 as a Valor student from the University of Arizona. She later completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Spring Hill College. Ms. Miller has worked as a staff nurse in the hospice and interim care units and has served as a certified Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL), Clinical Nurse Manager of a cardiac telemetry unit, Chief Nurse of Medical Nursing, and Acting Chief of Surgical Nursing in other VA hospitals. She has experience in medical/surgical, sterile processing, specialty care, inpatient psychiatry, and substance abuse units. A “black belt” in process improvement, Ms. Miller was trained through Purdue University, holds a Fellow certification in mentoring, is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL), and American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). She is also a graduate from Health Care Leadership Training Program (HCLDP) in 2016 and Excellence in Government (EIG) in 2020.
