On Friday, May 10th, Director Lawrence Connell of VA Providence attended the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) meeting to provide an update on the ongoing improvements and initiatives at VA Providence.

The Director highlighted several enhancements, including advancements in healthcare services and the modernization of the VA Providence facilities. These efforts are part of a broader commitment to ensuring that Veterans receive the highest quality care and services tailored to their needs. Director Connell emphasized the significance of these developments in enhancing the overall patient experience and accessibility for Veterans in the region.

In addition to facility improvements, Director Connell briefed the MOAA members on updates related to the PACT Act. He detailed how the PACT Act, which addresses the health care needs of Veterans exposed to toxic substances, is being implemented at VA Providence. Connell encouraged eligible Veterans to enroll and take advantage of the expanded benefits under the act. 

The engagement with MOAA underscores VA Providence's dedication to transparent communication and collaboration with Veteran service organizations to better serve the Veteran community.
