Over Memorial Day weekend VA Providence Director Lawrence Connell attended the Boots on the Ground Memorial at Fort Adams State Park.

This powerful event serves as a tribute to the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. The memorial, marked by rows of boots representing fallen members of the United States Armed Forces since September 11th, 2001, is a poignant reminder of the true cost of freedom. Director Connell joined community members in paying respects and honoring the legacy of these heroes.

Director Connell emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring those who have served. "We are deeply grateful for the service and dedication of our Veterans," he said. "Events like this bring our community together and ensure that the sacrifices made by our military personnel are never forgotten." The VA Providence team remains committed to supporting Veterans and their families, ensuring their legacy of courage and dedication continues to inspire future generations.
