Rutledge Davis is an Army Veteran who was appointed as acting assistant director of the Salisbury VA Health Care System, effective July 14, 2024.

Mr. Davis previously served as site administrator for the Oakwood, Stockbridge, and Pike County VA Multi-Specialty Clinic within the Atlanta VA Health Care System. His service began in 2009 with the Office of Inspector General; he then transitioned to VHA where he has worked as an executive assistant to the ADPCS, associate director, and deputy director.

Mr. Davis is a retired U.S. Army combat medic specialist. He served 21 years and held various military positions during his career. Mr. Davis’s deployments include Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield; Operation Iraqi Freedom; Operation Uphold Democracy; Haiti; and Rwanda.

Mr. Davis holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Columbia Southern University.
