December 8, 2022
Sheridan , WY — The Sheridan Veterans Affairs Health Care System invites Veterans, their families and caregivers to a resource fair at The Hub on Smith Friday, Dec. 16 from 7 to 10 a.m. Free grab-n-go breakfast and coffee will be available for Veteran attendees.
The main focus of the event at Sheridan's Hub on Smith will be the recently signed PACT Act legislation, however other programs and resources will be also available. This includes information on benefits, eligibility, caregiver program, intimate partner violence program, whole health program and more.
The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. It was named in honor of Sergeant First Class Heath Robinson, a decorated combat medic who died from a rare form of lung cancer. This historic legislation will help deliver more timely benefits and services to more than 5 million veterans—across all generations—who may have been impacted by toxic exposures while serving our country.
