Pam Crowell checked onboard the Sheridan VA Health Care System in August 2017 as the new director.

She came to Sheridan from the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center in Charleston, S.C., where she was the Associate Director. Ms. Crowell has held several leadership roles including Associate Director, Assistant Director and Chief of Performance Improvement at the New Mexico VA Health Care System. Crowell began her VA career as a Canteen Management Trainee in Minneapolis, MN, and went on to serve as Chief, Canteen Service at Prescott VA Medical Center and Central Alabama Health Care System’s Montgomery campus. Crowell then completed the VA’s Health System Specialist Training program and served in that capacity at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center, where she was instrumental in VA’s Carey Award program, the Kenneth W. Kizer Quality Achievement Grant program, and the President’s Quality Award, serving as a consultant and senior examiner. Ms. Crowell holds a bachelor's degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D., and a master's degree from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D. She is a 2009 graduate of the Veteran Health Administration's Executive Career Field Program.
