Linda Rankin is Deputy Nurse Executive. She provides oversight for inpatient, outpatient, and interventional nursing services, and the Chaplain Service.
Linda Rankin is Deputy Nurse Executive for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. In this role, she provides executive oversight for inpatient, outpatient, and interventional nursing services, as well as the healthcare system’s Chaplain Service.
Prior to joining VA and assuming her current duties in May 2022, Ms. Rankin was the Chief Nurse Officer at the Wickenburg (Ariz.) Community Hospital - a Level IV Trauma Center that supports a 3,300 square-mile rural community. A seasoned professional in the healthcare industry, she brings more than 25 years of progressive, strong, and compassionate transformational leadership experience having led a variety of nursing and operational service lines within seven different private sector healthcare systems.
Ms. Rankin comes to VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System with robust experience in developing and maintaining high reliability organizational models, clinical shared governance, and successful ANCC Nursing Magnet designations. She also has expertise in analysis, design, and implementation of strategic improvements of patient outcomes, work efficiency, employee engagement, team building leadership growth and reduction of operating costs.
Ms. Rankin holds a Master of Jurisprudence degree in Health Law from Loyola University School of Law, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree in Health Care Administration and a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Society of Healthcare Risk Management, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, among others.
