Matthew White is Deputy Chief of Staff of VA SORCC.

Dr. White provides exceptional access and care, to our nation’s Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. 

Matthew knows that a leader’s words and actions have a huge impact on the success and satisfaction of the team, and subsequently the mission. He believes that leadership has one of the most significant impacts on the lives of employees and those we serve. He is committed to strong servant leadership with a collaborative, coaching, and empowerment mindset, and has led teams to extraordinary outcomes through living out his leadership style across the organization.

Throughout Matthew’s career, he has secured wins through partnering with leaders to align in a shared vision to reach mutual goals. This includes oversight of change management, process improvement, and project management in various electronic medical record (EMR), operational, and clinical workflows utilizing lean / six sigma principles to facilitate increased access to care, implementing many programs and services, ultimately benefitting patients and improving employee satisfaction.

Among many professional development accomplishments, Matthew is Lean Green Belt certified, and is a Board-Certified Pharmacy Executive Leader (CPEL). Matthew enjoys giving back to the profession through guest lecturing on leadership topics, mentoring and advocating for others professional development.
Matthew holds a Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from Oregon State University & Oregon Health Science University. He also holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Pacific University.
