Ms. Doloresco is the Associate Director, Patient Care/Nursing at the JAHVH.
Ms. Doloresco previously served as the Chief Nurse for Spinal Cord Injury/Rehabilitation at Tampa. Currently, she is responsible for approximately 1,600 employees in all health care settings, including hospital service, Sterile Processing and Supplies, long-term care, home care, Spinal Cord Injury, Polytrauma/Rehabilitation/Transitional Care, Psychiatry, Domiciliary and Outpatient services.
Ms. Doloresco received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Akron, Ohio, in 1975, and a Masters in Nursing from the University of Kansas in 1985. Her 35-year nursing career includes direct care and executive leadership.
She was elected as the president of the American Association of Spinal Cord Injury Nurses and was selected as a member of the first national Spinal Cord Nursing Certification Board. She is currently a member of the VA Nursing Polytrauma Rehabilitation Field Advisory Group, the VA Polytrauma Nurse Executive Group, and the College of Nursing Advisory Board at the University of Tampa.
