May 6, 2024

CLARKSVILLE , TN — Taylor VA Clinic, a new dental clinic part of VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS), welcomed its first Veteran patient on Monday.

“Taylor VA Clinic is part of our pledge to provide the best care to the Veterans in their community,” said Daniel Dücker, TVHS Executive Director. “Montgomery County is one of the fastest growing Veteran populations in the nation where nearly 40,000 live and over 21,000 Veterans are currently enrolled in VA care. We’re appreciative of our partners at Fort Campbell Dental Health Activity and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) to make this a reality.”

The location of the Taylor VA Clinic is embedded within BACH’s dental clinic, located on Fort Campbell Army Installation. The Taylor VA Clinic is part of an ongoing partnership between Department of Defense and VA to provide world-class health care to Veterans in the Tennessee and Kentucky areas. This clinic marks the third VA-DOD clinic in the state of Tennessee and the second in Kentucky.

“We are looking forward to this new partnership with the VA and hope it can be a model for others to follow,” said Col. Jeffery Hambrice, commander of the U.S. Army Dental Health Activity.

The new dental clinic will provide comprehensive dental care to thousands of Veterans within the Clarksville and surrounding area.

“The clinic will provide another access point for our Veterans in the Clarksville area, which will allow them to receive treatment locally,” said Dr. Donna Walls, chief of dental services for TVHS.

York Campus in Murfreesboro and the Nashville Campus, as well as more than a dozen community-based outpatient clinics located in Tennessee and Kentucky.
