FEMA assistance available for Veterans impacted by December tornadoes

Aftermath of the Dec. 10 and 11 tornadoes that went through southern Kentucky and northern Tennessee

Veterans who were impacted by the December 10 and 11 tornadoes in Kentucky and Tennessee may be eligible to receive assistance from FEMA.

Representatives from FEMA will be at the Hopkinsville and Bowling Green VA Clinics assisting Veterans affected by the Dec. 10 and 11 tornadoes this week from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The clinics are located at 600 US 31 West Bypass, Fairview Plaza, Suite 12, Bowling Green, KY and 1002 South Virginia Street, Forbes Place, Second Floor, Hopkinsville, KY.

The FEMA representatives can help individuals register and apply for aid, answer claim questions, update claims, and check the status of their claim. Anyone needing documents submitted after they register, can upload documents via phone, fax or at a Disaster Recovery Center.
