Patient representatives at the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA are specially trained to help you resolve issues with your care. If you have experienced any problems that you have not been able to resolve by talking with your care team or other program office, you are encouraged reach out to one of our patient representatives.

Care we provide at the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA

Our patient representatives work hard to make sure you receive the best possible care. They can be reached 3 different ways:

  • Call  509-525-5200, ext. 26723 and leave a message 24/7; you can expect a call back within 3 business days
  • Walk-in support is available at the Walla Walla campus location in Bldg. 143, Rm. 1211; office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (excluding federal holidays)
  • Email the patient representative group at vhawww-patientadvocate@va.gov (note that sending an email is not secure if you choose to  include HIPAA information)


Patient representatives can offer help with:

  • Patient concerns with the care team or other areas of care (pharmacy, community care, travel, specialty care, billing, etc.)
  • Advocating for patient and family rights
