Network call center expands services to support Veterans' health care needs
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and its Pacific Northwest Headquarters (VISN20) is currently expanding telephone access to Veterans utilizing VA health care facilities in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Alaska.
Your calls are important to us and VISN20 is dedicated to answering your calls.
VISN20’s Health Connect Call Center serving Veterans within our network is actively bolstering services to support telephone access to VA health care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means that this call center will handle all incoming calls and no longer utilize another VA network’s call center for calls received outside of regular business hours. There is no new phone number to learn; just call you VA as usual, and you will automatically be route to VISN20’s Health Connect Call Center.
During this transition and while new staff are hired and trained, VA will continue to offer medical support limited to nurse triage. For administrative needs, including scheduling, messages to your primary care team, and medication services, support will now be offered during the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time Monday through Friday.
As VA continues this expansion, please be aware that wait times after hours may be prolonged. VA’s ultimate goal is to provide around the clock support to meet the Veterans’ needs in a timely manner, and VA is diligently working to make this happen in the coming months.
We thank you for your understanding and patience during this transition and effort to expand and improve access to VA health care.
