Buffalo VA Medical Center
VA Western New York Healthcare System (VA WNYHS) is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 1B facility, serving Veterans in Buffalo, Batavia and seven community-based outpatient clinics in West Seneca, Niagara Falls, Lockport, Dunkirk, Jamestown, Olean and a satellite site in Springville, New York. The Buffalo site is a 154-bed tertiary site with full range of comprehensive care to include primary, specialty, surgical, geriatrics and extended care, dental, psychiatry, oncology, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Specialized programs such as Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, VA Health Care for Homeless Program, are within the Buffalo area at off-site locations. The Batavia site includes primary care, some specialty care along with four community living centers. Additionally, the Batavia site is the location of the Jack B. Wisby Center for Excellence for Military Sexual Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
