Daniel O'Rourke, MD, joined the staff at the White River Junction VA Medical Center in 1996.

Upon graduating as valedictorian from Siena College, Dr. O’Rourke earned his MD with magna cum laude honors at the SUNY at Syracuse and completed internal medicine training at the University of Pittsburgh where he was recognized with an award for outstanding teaching. He completed his cardiology fellowship at DHMC in 1996, followed by a master’s degree from the Center for Evaluative Clinical Sciences from Dartmouth College in 1997. He earned a master’s degree in education from Xavier University in 2017. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, and holds an academic appointment with the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth as an Associate Professor of Medicine. He has been a very popular clinical teacher and has >50 abstracts and publications in peer-reviewed journals. In his spare time, Dan coaches the girls’ varsity basketball team at Hanover High School (Hanover, NH).
