Ann Arbor GRECC’s Annual Conference:

Critical Care Issues in the Care of Older Adults (Topic TBD) September 22-23, 2011

 

Featured Research Investigator/Project:

Dr. Lona Mody received her initial medical training from Gujarat University Medical School in India. Following her Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Dr. Mody completed a clinical and research fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Michigan. Additionally, Dr. Mody obtained a Masters of Science in Epidemiology from the University of London in 2005. Dr. Mody has been a Research Scientist at the VA Ann Arbor GRECC since 2000. She assumed the role of the GRECC's Associate Director/Clinical Programs in 2007. She was recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at the University of Michigan in 2010. Dr. Mody’s collaborative translational research program focuses on reducing infections and antimicrobial resistance in residents in long-term care facilities in order to enhance patient safety, quality of care and disease outcomes.
