Christopher Buscema DPT, FACHE

Prior to joining VA Altoona Healthcare System, Mr. Buscema served as Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Service at Eastern Colorado Healthcare System where he oversaw a complex clinical service of over 150 employees totaling more than 100,000 inpatient and outpatient encounters per year. Mr. Buscema has over 15 years of healthcare leadership experience in the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. Prior to joining VA in 2012, Mr. Buscema held leadership positions as a civilian member of the Army Medical Department holding positions a Battalion Physical Therapist at Europe Regional Medical Command - Warrior Transition Battalion in Heidelberg Germany and Chief of Rehabilitation at the US Army Health Center in Vicenza Italy. Mr. Buscema earned degrees of Master of Business Administration from Plymouth State University, Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro. Mr. Buscema is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
