Lubbock VA Clinic opens new Urgent Care Clinic for Veterans

The Lubbock VA Clinic hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) Friday, December 1, 2023.
The new UCC addition is the first of its kind in the region to be located inside a VA Community-based Outpatient Clinic. The UCC addition will offer medical services to Veterans for minor illnesses and injuries.
“The delivery of quality healthcare to our Veterans is our number one priority," said Michael Lucas, Assistant Director of the Amarillo VA Health Care System. “This expansion will increase quality and convenience of care options for Veterans.”
By having the UCC in the Lubbock VA Clinic, services such as radiology, lab, and pharmacy will be readily available to serve Veterans in immediate need.
