David B. Vess, FACHE is currently serving as the Interim Medical Center Director at the Beckley VA Medical Center as of March 2024.
He was appointed as the Acting Associate Medical Center Director at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center, West Virginia, in January 2020.
Responsibilities include executive leadership and direction of resource management, facility management, public safety, information management, prosthetics and supply chain activities. He is a Quadrad member responsible for the delivery of health care for the 467-bed medical center. His Department of Veterans Affairs career began in 1995 and held positions within Medical Center, VISN and VACO. Mr. Vess earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, North Carolina in 1994 and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Baruch-CUNY/ Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, New York in 2005. He is a Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
