VA Bedford Celebrates National Healthcare Facilities and Engineering Week

This week, VA Bedford is celebrating National Healthcare Facilities and Engineering Week, which recognizes the vital role of engineers, maintenance staff, tradespeople, and other facilities professionals in health care.

The week promotes education, professional development, and community outreach that showcases these unsung heroes who work hard behind the scenes to keep hospitals and clinics running smoothly. Their skills and dedication help ensure safe, functional, and comfortable healing environments for our Veterans.

At VA Bedford, our facilities team oversees the operation and maintenance of this historic campus, originally built in 1928. Generations of staff have cared for these buildings and infrastructure, adapting and upgrading systems to continue serving Veterans over the decades.

This week, we thank our facilities and engineering staff for all they do to maintain the "home" for our Veterans every day. Their work is deeply valued as an integral part of the VA mission.
