Dr. Whitney Scifres is the Deputy Chief of Staff (COS) for the Tuskegee Campus.

Dr. Whitney Scifres, M.D., DABPMR, DABMA, graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.  She earned her Medical Degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She also completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UAMS.

 Dr. Scifres is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and  Medical Acupuncture. She has served the Veteran community since 2008 with her initial position at the John L. McClellan Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., as a staff Physiatrist. During that time, she acted as the Medical Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Ward and Specialty Manual Wheelchair clinic. She is a graduate of the VISN 16 Advanced Leadership Development Institute in 2013.  

Dr. Scifres has been with CAVHCS since 2013, serving as the Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 2016 and she currently serves as the VISN 7 Clinical Consultant for Physical Medicine.
