In the wake of COVID-19, the significance of personal health care is more evident than ever. Join us for our VA health and wellness fair on Thursday, January 18, from noon to 7 p.m. at Cheyenne VA Medical Center and Northern Colorado VA Clinic.

"Your health care needs continued during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Jodi Smith, RN, Health Promotion Disease Prevention program manager at Cheyenne VA.

Under her guidance, the fair aims to bring Veterans back to the clinics, providing a comprehensive range of screenings and vaccinations.

"We're here to support your health care goals and help you take control of your well-being," said Smith.

Importance of care

Early detection through screenings can significantly improve treatment outcomes, especially with diseases like cancer. Getting regular vaccinations to prevent disease outbreaks and maintain health is also vital.

Our fair offers a range of essential services, including cancer screenings -- colorectal, mammogram, cervical and lung -- and mental health resources, such as caregiver support and suicide prevention.

Self-care to promote wellness

Comprehensive diabetes management services will be provided, including screenings for hemoglobin A1C, kidney, foot and eye health.

It's a unique opportunity to get up to date on essential vaccines such as flu, COVID-19, shingles, pneumococcal, HPV, Tdap and RSV. Additional services including blood pressure checks, telehealth resources, nutrition advice, recreation therapy and chaplain services, will also be available.

Please mark your calendar and join us

We encourage you to take a proactive step toward a healthier future.

Remember, the fair is January 18, from noon to 7 p.m., at the primary care waiting rooms of Cheyenne VA Medical Center and Northern Colorado VA Clinic.

We hope to see you at Cheyenne VA or NOCO.
