Reynaldo Torres-Almodovar is the Acting Associate Director at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

Reynaldo Torres-Almodovar, BHSA, has served on active duty in the US Marine Corps and began his career at VA Connecticut Healthcare System (VAHCS) in November 2013, serving as part of Environmental Management Services (EMS). Mr. Torres held various positions, including housekeeper, EMS foreman, administrative officer, and assistant chief. Additionally, he managed various service contracts to sustain healthcare operations. 

 

Mr. Torres was appointed as the Chief of EMS in December 2021, where he was responsible for overseeing healthcare sanitation procedures for VACHS in both Newington and West Haven. In July 2023, he served as the Acting Associate Director for VA Connecticut for a three-month detail.

 

Through his work both in the military and at the VA, Mr. Torres’s notable contributions include providing invaluable assistance to Veterans in need of housing, healthcare, and other critical services. Has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals as he shares his own experiences as a Veteran to help others who may be struggling with similar challenges. Serving as a mentor and role model to younger Veterans who are just beginning their journey. His commitment to service and his unwavering dedication to his fellow Veterans serve as an inspiration to us all.
