Construction activity for parking garage begins week of Aug. 13
WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Construction activity begins the week of Aug. 13, 2023, for the 350 space, four story garage at the West Haven campus.
The patient parking lot in front of the Building 2 main entrance is the future home of the garage and will be closed until the fall of 2024. The Building 2 main entrance (revolving door) will remain open during construction.
The handicap parking area with the designated spinal cord injury spaces near the main entrance will remain open.
Angled parking along the fence line near the West Spring Street entrance will be impacted. These spaces will be unavailable starting in late August/early September.
- Contractor will begin mobilizing equipment the week of Aug. 13.
- Patients can use Lot #18 located adjacent to Building 2 (Glade Street Parking Lot):
- If using the Campbell Avenue entrance, continue up the hill and take a slight left. The lot is at the end of the road.
- From the West Spring Street entrance turn left at the second stop sign.
- Parking is available in Lot #10 (main parking lot with the flashing pedestrian crossing).
- Anticipate directional changes to traffic patterns around Building 2.
