VA is Switching to Direct Deposit

The U.S. Treasury requires that ALL PAYMENTS be made electronically to Veterans, Vendors and Other Individuals.

Starting October 1, 2023 The U.S. Treasury requires that ALL PAYMENTS be made electronically to Veterans. This means that Beneficiary Travel, Copayment Refunds, and Caregivers must be paid electronically.

Switching to direct deposit is fast and easy!

How to Enroll
If you do no t have an account:
Visit www.benefits.va.gov/banking
Call one of the participating banks/credit unions and mention Veterans Benefits Banking Program

If you have an account but are not using direct deposit
Visit www.va.gov/change-directdeposit
Call 1-800-827-1000 (711 for TDD)
