Chris Cauley joined the VA Detroit Health Care System as Medical Center Executive Director in August 2023.
Prior to his appointment at the Detroit VA, Chris served as the Medical Center Director for the Aleda E. Lutz VAMC, where he was appointed in June 2021. In addition to his tenure at Saginaw, he served as Associate Director at VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Other positions in his 28-year career at the VA include: Executive Assistant to the Associate Director, Chief, Prosthetics and Sensory Aids, Patient Education Coordinator, and Kinesiotherapist.
Mr. Cauley is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is board-certified in healthcare management. He is also a certified Mentor through VHA, a graduate of the 2012 VHA Health Care Leadership Development Program (HCLDP), and a member of the National HCLDP Advisory Board. His areas of interest include professional and personal development and mentoring.
