Free VA Claims and Healthcare Enrollment Fair for Beaumont Area Veterans
PRESS RELEASE
June 5, 2024
Houston , TX — This Saturday, June 8th, all area military Veterans are invited to a special VA claims and enrollment resource fair at the Beaumont VA Outpatient Clinic.
The event is aimed at ensuring local Veterans can easily sign up for the VA healthcare and claims benefits they have earned through their service to our country. VA experts will be on-site to assist with VA disability claims and benefits as well as healthcare enrollment.
“We want to make it as easy as possible for southeast Texas area Veterans to enroll for VA healthcare and benefits,” said Frank Vazquez, director of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston. “Our Beaumont VA Clinic is currently undergoing a large expansion that will allow us to open a new clinic with more services for our Veterans closer to where they live. The more Veterans we can serve, the better.”
As a result of the PACT Act, as of March 2024, Veterans exposed to toxins or other hazards while serving our country at home or abroad – including all Vets who served in Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other combat zone after 9/11 – are now eligible for VA health care
Just last week, the VA announced that Texas is leading the way with approximately 110,629 benefits claims processed for Texas Veterans and their survivors under the PACT Act – and one million dollars granted nationwide.
Saturday’s resource fair is open to all Beaumont area Veterans, family members and caregivers, and the public. No registration is required.
