Veteran Health Indiana to Host Toxic Exposure Town Hall and Resource Event

Brownsburg , IN — The Indianapolis VA Medical Center of Veteran Health Indiana will host a Toxic Exposure Town Hall and Resource Event on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 pm., at their Brownsburg VA Clinic location at 557 Pit Road, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors are invited to attend one of the two Town Halls beginning at 10 a.m. and 12 noon, on December 10, being presented on the Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act of 2022 – known as the PACT Act. The new law expands VA health care and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances.
“There are so many Veterans and survivors in Indiana and across the nation who are eligible for new and/or expanded VA health care and compensation benefits,” said Director Michael Hershman. “We want to get the word out, so they can receive the care and benefits they deserve.”
Representatives will be onsite to answer questions on the PACT Act, eligibility & enrollment (Veterans, bring a copy of your DD214 if available), VA benefits, filing claims, Women’s Health, suicide prevention, and more. Toxic Exposure Screening and Flu & COVID vaccines will also be available. All being offered between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., on December 10.
