Mr. Hopkins is the Medical Center Director for the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
He has been with VA for over 32 years, most recently serving at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, as Medical Center Director and Chief Executive Officer from June 2022 until his transition to KCVA. During his career with VA, he has held various leadership appointments in VA Heartland Network, including those in Columbia, Missouri, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, and at St. Louis VA Health Care System, and in 2018, Mr. Hopkins was the Associate Director at KCVA. Mr. Hopkins is also a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Reserve with two activations, to include a deployment to Afghanistan in 2002 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and retiring in April 2007.
