Dr. Oken began at Lovell FHCC as the Chief of Staff in 2022 and is responsible for the direction and coordination of clinical functions and management.
He previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Acting Chief of Staff at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital where he began in 2018. Prior to that he was working in the private sector as an executive leader at Northwestern Medicine/Marianjoy and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare. He guided Hines VA through the Covid pandemic and Lovell FHCC through their CERNER FEHR at Lovell FHCC. He received his Doctor of Medicine through the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, completed his internship in internal medicine at Northwestern University and residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation medicine.
